Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Donations Are Non-Refundable

All donations made to Bharat Dharma Academy Limited are voluntary, non-refundable, and made in support of our registered charitable, educational, and cultural initiatives. These include the development of cultural awareness programs, digital content, community outreach, and the establishment of a cultural centre in Sydney.

As a not-for-profit charity under Australian law, once a donation is processed successfully, it is considered final and cannot be canceled or refunded, except under the circumstances outlined below.

 

2. Duplicate or Erroneous Transactions

If you believe you have:

  • Donated more than once in error, or

  • Made a donation with incorrect details

You must notify us within 7 days of the transaction and provide a copy of the transaction receipt.

We will assess the request and, if verified, may refund the amount to the original payment method.

 

3. Unauthorized Transactions

If a donation appears on your account that you did not authorize:

  • Please contact your financial institution immediately.

We will support any investigation by relevant financial institutions and authorities.

 

4. Processing Timelines

If a refund is approved under this policy:

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 business days from the date of approval.

  • Processing times may vary based on your bank or payment provider.

  • Refunds will only be issued to the original source of payment.

 

5. International Donations

Donors from outside Australia are encouraged to:

  • Check their local tax laws before donating.

  • Be aware of foreign exchange fluctuations and international transaction fees.

We are not liable for any legal or financial consequences resulting from international contributions.

 

6. DGR Status Clarification

Donations made to Bharat Dharma Academy Limited may not be tax-deductible until our application for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status is approved by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Once approved, we will provide official receipts meeting DGR compliance for eligible donations.
