ओडिशा की पवित्र प्राची नदी के तट पर स्थित काकटपुर माँ मंगला मंदिर वह रहस्यमय स्थान है जहाँ देवी भगवान जगन्नाथ के पुजारियों को स्वप्न में दारु (पवित्र नीम वृक्ष) की स्थिति बताती हैं। नवकलेबर अनुष्ठान में इस मंदिर की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है। काकटपुर का अर्थ: कौवे की किंवदंती 'काकटपुर' नाम की उत्पत्ति: एक कौवा (काक) पानी में गोता लगाकर उस स्थान को दिखाया जहाँ मूर्ति थी और फिर वहीं अटक (Atka) गया। इसलिए 'काक-अटक-पुर' यानी काकटपुर नाम पड़ा। नवकलेबर और दारु ब्रह्म नवकलेबर में भगवान जगन्नाथ की मूर्तियों के नवीनीकरण के लिए पवित्र नीम वृक्ष खोजना होता है। पुजारी माँ मंगला के समक्ष सोते हैं और देवी स्वप्न में वृक्षों की स्थिति बताती हैं। वृक्ष की पहचान के चिह्न: • सर्प का फन दिखना • चींटियों की बाँबी का अभाव • पक्षियों के घोंसले न होना झामू यात्रा: अग्नि-चलन उत्सव वैशाख मास के प्रथम मंगलवार को झामू यात्रा मनाई जाती है। 'पटुआ' भक्त जलते कोयलों की नाली पर नंगे पाँव चलते हैं और सिर पर 'मानसिक घाट' (जल के बर्तन) लेकर चलते हैं। पाषाण शय्या: देवी का विश्राम स्थल मंदिर में एक ठोस पाषाण शय्या है जहाँ माना जाता है कि देवी ब्रह्मांड का भ्रमण करने के बाद विश्राम करती हैं। इस पत्थर की सतह घिसी हुई है। दर्शन समय और यात्रा मंदिर समय: प्रातः 5:00 - दोपहर 2:30, सायं 5:00 - रात्रि 9:30 सर्वोत्तम समय: चैत्र मास - झामू यात्रा के लिए पुरी से: 50-54 किमी भुवनेश्वर से: 60-65 किमी कोणार्क से: 15-20 किमी
