History
Cheranalloor Mahadeva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located on the banks of the Periyar river at Kalady in Ernakulam District, Kerala. It is one of the important temples in the Cochin Kingdom, and according to folklore, sage Parashurama installed the idol of Shiva in the Treta Yuga. The temple is part of the 108 Shiva Temples in Kerala.
