History
The Gopal Mandir was built in the 19th century by Bayaji Bai Shinde, the wife of Maratha King Daulatrao Scindia. It is constructed in a beautiful Maratha architectural style.
Spiritual Significance
It is the second-largest temple in Ujjain, holding significant religious importance after the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
