History
The Hindu Temple Society of North America is the nonprofit organization that manages Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam, located at 45–57 Bowne Street in Flushing, Queens, New York City, United States. The temple, commonly called the Ganesha Temple for its principal deity Ganesha, is the second-oldest Hindu temple in the United States built by Indian immigrants. Uma Mysorekar has served as the society’s president since 1994.
