- इस मन्दिर की यात्रा हेतु सर्वोत्तम समय मार्च से मई (वसन्त ऋतु) और सितम्बर से नवम्बर (शरद ऋतु) का है। इन महीनों में मौसम सुहावना रहता है – न अधिक गर्मी और न अधिक सर्दी। आकाश स्वच्छ रहता है और हिमालय की चोटियों के दर्शन स्पष्ट होते हैं। वर्षा ऋतु (जून से अगस्त) में भूस्खलन का खतरा रहता है और सड़कें अवरुद्ध हो सकती हैं। शीत ऋतु (दिसम्बर से फरवरी) में अत्यधिक ठण्ड पड़ती है, यद्यपि इस समय भी दर्शन किए जा सकते हैं। महाशिवरात्रि (फरवरी-मार्च) और श्रावण (जुलाई-अगस्त) के समय यहाँ विशेष आयोजन होते हैं, अतः धार्मिक दृष्टि से यह समय भी उत्तम है।

- साधारण दिनों में २०-३० मिनट, सोमवार एवं त्योहारों पर ४५-६० मिनट तक का समय लग सकता है।
- Dress Code
- मन्दिर में प्रवेश हेतु पारम्परिक एवं शालीन वस्त्र अपेक्षित हैं। पुरुष धोती-कुर्ता या पैंट-शर्ट में आ सकते हैं, महिलाएँ साड़ी या सलवार-कमीज़ में। बरमूडा, शॉर्ट्स और स्कर्ट वर्जित हैं।

History
