History
The temple was built in the 19th century A.D. by the King of Nepal. It is also known as the Samrajeshwar Pashupatinath Mahadev Temple and is celebrated as a 'Mini Pashupatinath' in India.

The temple serves as a cultural and religious link between Nepal and India, dedicated to Lord Shiva in a style reminiscent of the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
