Puneshwar

Punyeshwar Mahadev Mandir was a Shiva temple along the bank of the river Mutha in Pune. It was pulled down in the late thirteenth century and converted into a dargah called Dhakta Sheikh Salla Dargah. Another temple, Narayaneshwar, was also converted into a dargah around the same time. In 2006, old artefacts of the Puneshwar temple were found under the dargah after a wall collapsed.
