Ram Krishna Temple
Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda. The land was purchased on 4th March, 1897, and the holy relics of Shri Ramakrishna were placed on 9th December 1898.
