History
The Sankat Mochan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Hanuman, located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is recognized as Shimla's second most visited Hanuman temple, following the Jakhu Temple. The temple was established in 1950 by the noted religious figure Neem Karoli Baba. According to historical records, the groundbreaking for the structure took place in 1962, and the temple was completed in 1966.
