History
The temple is named after Mata Anjani, mother of Lord Hanuman, who is believed to have performed intense penance at this location to please Lord Shiva. It is famously known as the 'Amarnath of Himachal' due to the spectacular natural ice Shiva Lingam that forms every winter.
Spiritual Significance
The temple is highly revered for its naturally formed ice lingam, created by a waterfall that freezes during peak winter months reaching heights of 20 to 40 feet.
