History
The Shukreswar Temple was built by the Ahom King Parramatta Singha in 1744. It is historically significant as a prominent site situated along the banks of the river.

The temple is renowned for housing one of the largest Lingams of Lord Shiva and is believed to grant moksha to those who perform their final rituals there.
