Taman Sari Temple

Tamreswari temple is dedicated to the tribal goddess Kechaikhati and is located about 18 km from Sadiya in Tinsukia district, Assam. It was managed by non-Brahmin tribal priests known as Deoris. A Chutia king is believed to have constructed a brick-cum-stone boundary wall in 1442. The temple's worship practices retained tribal customs even after Hindu influence.
